I teach my children Latin, beginning in second grade. I can attest that the majority of learning it is recitation, recitation, recitation. There are so many jokes about reciting Latin declensions and conjugations, but it really is the best way to learn them.
Hi! Very interesting post. I have subscribed to your newsletter to receive your updates. I just wanted to ask you about something I have noticed in your selection from Princeton reading list: Why is Ficciones, by Jorge Luis Borges, placed in the non-fiction section? As it is a short-story collection, I guess it would make more sense to place it in the fiction section, right? Best regards from a compatriot of Borges in Buenos Aires, Argentina!
Absolutely interested in the Latin and Greek learning tips!
Great! I think I will do it for next month if more people is interested 🤎
